Contribution to society

Data centers are not only an integral part of the digital economy, but also play a vital role in communities in which they are located in. This award focuses on the contributions data center operators have made to a society as part of their data center investments, both on a local and national level.

The range of contributions can be in the form of investing in local businesses or organisations to investing in and developing clean energy in the region.

  • This Award is given to a data center operator (; enterprise, colocation/data center services, MSP, ISP, cloud provider) who has made positive contribution to society as part of their data center build within the last 3 years in Denmark.

  • Entrants are welcome to submit any form of projects ranging from investing in renewables regionally to community engagements in their local areas.

  • Entrants should be able to clearly demonstrate what active role they have played on a local or national level.

  • Clients, consulting engineers, vendors and other relevant stakeholders are welcome to nominate and assist a data center operator on their behalf. The award will be given to the data center investor/operator.
